Los Angeles, California, USA
Los Angeles is located on the Pacific coast within the state of California, and is the second largest city in the United States. The City of L.A. has long been a destination for people from around the world, and today more than four million Angelenos blend cultures, beliefs, traditions, languages, and cuisine into a global hub of culture and industry that represents the world’s third largest metropolitan economy.
Mayor Eric Garcetti, with support from the Conrad N. Hilton Foundation and the Mayor’s Fund for Los Angeles, committed the City of L.A. to the Sustainable Development Goals in 2017 to demonstrate how localization is key to achieving the Goals, and how the framework can provide a common language for the development challenges that face our world.
